Madame Web 2024 swung into cinemas with high expectations, promised to be a refreshing detour from the usual beats of superhero flicks. Touted to be a tale of foresight and fate, it twists the norm by focusing on a less-celebrated Marvel maven, played by Dakota Johnson. But instead of web-slinging its way to success, the film gets caught in its own narrative snags.
